Machine Compatibility
Our standard cones are used on automatic winding machines including Murata, Savio and Schlafhorst autoconers, as well as on manual and semi-automatic cone winders. Confirm your machine make and model when requesting a quote and we will confirm the right taper and dimensions for your holder.
The 5°57′ taper is the standard for high-speed autoconers (Schlafhorst X5/X6, Murata QPRO, Savio Orion/Polar/Espero). The 4°20′ taper is used on TFO twisters and ring doubling machines. Using the wrong taper angle causes the cone to sit loose on the spindle holder, resulting in vibration and package defects. Surface Finish Options
