In practice, that means our responsibility for the shipment ends once the cartons are loaded onto the vessel at Chattogram port — production, carton packing, inland transport, port handling and loading are all included in the FOB price. From that point, the buyer arranges and pays for ocean freight, marine insurance if wanted, destination port charges, customs clearance, and import duty. Risk transfers at the same point: once the cartons are on board, the ocean leg is the buyer's (or their insurer's) responsibility. Many buyers use a freight forwarder to handle the booking and destination clearance on their side — we can work directly with your forwarder for documentation.

Common Destination Ports
Chattogram is our port of export. From there, we most commonly ship to Nhava Sheva, Chennai and Tuticorin (India), Karachi and Port Qasim (Pakistan), Tanjung Priok (Indonesia), and via Colombo transhipment for onward destinations without a direct service. Documentation and FOB terms are the same regardless of destination port — what varies is freight cost and transit time, which your freight forwarder confirms at time of booking. We ship to other ports on request.
FOB vs CIF for Cost Planning
The FOB price is the cost of the cones at the port of export — it does not include freight or insurance. CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) is FOB plus ocean freight plus marine insurance to your destination port. A FOB quote and a CIF quote for the same order aren't directly comparable until freight and insurance are added to the FOB figure — and CIF value is typically the base your customs authority calculates import duty against. For duty guidance, see our HS code and import duty guide. For a worked landed-cost comparison across origins, see our FOB Chattogram vs Mumbai vs Karachi comparison, or for sourcing context see our paper cone for spinning mills page.
