FOB Chattogram Paper Cone Export Terms

Request an export quotation with a defined scope

Provide the destination country and port, quantity by cone specification, approved drawing or sample, finish, required packing and timing. Ask for carton count, external dimensions and net/gross weight for the actual order. Review production readiness and freight scheduling separately.

FOB and CIF: separate cost from risk

Under FOB, delivery and risk normally transfer when goods are on board at the named shipment port, with the buyer arranging the main sea carriage. Under CIF, the seller arranges carriage and insurance to the named destination port, but the risk transfer is still at shipment, not arrival. Agree the named places and Incoterms® version in the contract. For container handover before vessel loading, ask the forwarder whether FCA better describes the arrangement.

Make the packing details usable

• State the pieces per carton and identify each cone specification.
• Confirm carton dimensions, gross weight and any pallet requirement.
• Agree labels and protection against crushing, deformation and moisture.
• Ask which inspection and packing records are required before dispatch.

Country and document review

For India, include the intended port and use the India inquiry guide. For Pakistan, include the arrival port and inland delivery point in the Pakistan inquiry. Carrier routing and transit time require a current forwarder quotation; no schedule is promised here.

Agree the invoice, packing, transport and origin documents with your broker and forwarder. Classification, duty and taxes must be checked separately from freight, insurance, broker and port charges.
