Machine compatibility determines every other paper cone specification you need to order correctly. Taper angle governs how the cone seats on the spindle; nose and base diameter govern whether the cradle grips it correctly; notch type governs whether an automatic doffer can catch and anchor the yarn tail. Get any one of these wrong for your specific machine, and the failure shows up as vibration, a tension fault, or a stoppage the operator blames on the yarn or the machine — not the cone. Confirming compatibility before ordering, rather than after a bad batch arrives, is the cheapest step in the entire sourcing process.
