Why Machine Compatibility Is the First Specification, Not the Last

Machine compatibility determines every other paper cone specification you need to order correctly. Taper angle governs how the cone seats on the spindle; nose and base diameter govern whether the cradle grips it correctly; notch type governs whether an automatic doffer can catch and anchor the yarn tail. Get any one of these wrong for your specific machine, and the failure shows up as vibration, a tension fault, or a stoppage the operator blames on the yarn or the machine — not the cone. Confirming compatibility before ordering, rather than after a bad batch arrives, is the cheapest step in the entire sourcing process.

Paper Cone Compatibility by Machine Brand

Every machine brand Aziz Packaging supplies cones for, with a link to its dedicated guide. Open your machine's page for practical taper-identification and finish-selection guidance, then confirm your exact spec with us before ordering — we don't publish per-machine dimension figures here, since fit depends on your specific cone holder, not the model name alone.

Running Zinser ring spinning frames? Zinser doesn't manufacture autoconers — see our Zinser buyer guide for how to identify the downstream winder that actually determines your cone spec. Don't see your machine listed? Contact us with your make and model.

Compatibility Guides by Machine

Each guide covers practical taper identification, finish selection by yarn type, and how to confirm your exact spec with us before ordering.

Murata Autoconer — Vortex MVS, QPRO, Process Coner

How to identify the correct taper for Murata's autoconer and cone-winder range, plus finish selection for Vortex MVS spinning-specific requirements.

Murata Compatibility Guide →

Savio Autoconer — Orion, Polar, Espero

Taper identification and finish selection across Savio's autoconer range. Confirm your specific model when requesting a quote.

Savio Compatibility Guide →

Schlafhorst & Rieter Autoconer — 338, X5, X6

Covers Schlafhorst Autoconer 338, X5, X6 and the Rieter Autoconer X6 on one page — Rieter now owns the Autoconer line, so these aren't separate brands to search.

Schlafhorst & Rieter Compatibility Guide →

Zinser Ring Frames

Zinser manufactures ring spinning frames, not winding machines — no paper cone attaches to a Zinser frame directly. This guide explains how to identify the downstream winder (commonly a Rieter Autoconer X6) that actually sets your cone spec.
